Shanghai Laundry is not taking orders yet. Before we launch, the only personal information we collect is what you give us to join our waitlist or to check whether we collect at your address. We use it only to tell you when pickups are available there.

What we collect
Your email address, when you join the waitlist or ask to be notified.
The address or hotel name you enter. We match it to a building and save that building’s name, address and map location. If you leave the address blank, we save only your email.
Your IP address, briefly, to stop automated abuse of our forms. We don’t store it with your email.
We don’t ask for your name, phone number or payment details before launch.
How we use it
We use your email only to tell you when we start collecting at your address or in your area, or when we open. We don’t send marketing emails, and we don’t sell or share your information for advertising.
The address you enter also helps us decide which parts of Shanghai to serve first.
Who processes it for us
Cloud hosting and database providers run our website and store the waitlist. United States, and a global server network.
Address-matching and mapping services match the address you type to a building. Mainland China and Singapore.
Email delivery provider sends our notification emails. United States.
These providers handle your information only to provide their service to us. The address you type is sent to the address-matching and mapping services to find the building; your email is not sent to them.
How long we keep it
We keep your email and address until 12 months after we send your notification. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
Your choices
Unsubscribe: every email we send has an unsubscribe link.
Correct or delete your information: email support@shanghailaundry.com from the address you signed up with. We’ll reply within 30 days.
Changes
We’ll update this policy when we launch, because taking orders means collecting more information. The date at the top shows the latest version.

Please don’t misuse our forms, for example by submitting other people’s email addresses without their permission or by sending automated requests. We may block requests that look like abuse.

We provide this website as it is. We do our best to keep it accurate and available, but we can’t guarantee it will always be error-free or online.
